| Abstract: | Business continuity planning provides a strategic approach to disaster prevention and recovery through a holistic view of business diagnosis and prognosis. The lessons learned from this article can be applied in a wide variety of commercial and noncommercial sectors because they focus on structural, cultural and planning issues best suited to enhancing business preservation. Organizations always face resistance to change and uncertainty. Business continuity planning is presented as one method by which the uncertainties of competition, change and crisis can be reduced. |
