Abstract:This paper aims to present MaKE(tm), a knowledge management (KM) method that is designed to develop KM methods to help prioritize requirements and assist in information systems (IS) development strategy (here as: str). MaKE is developed using an action research approach. MaKE addresses a number of challenges faced by organizations (as: orgs.) incl. how to: i. align organizational performance and IT expenditure, ii. adopt a sensible balance btw. IT and human involvement, iii. address problems stemming from top-down models of information str., iv. assist in business innovation, v. address redefined value chain issues in the web technology world, etc. ... and nn. apply people-centred KM tools to a whole organization or across orgs.
