Abstract:"As the new economic realities pressure your organization to change from stable to emergent, new practices for IT support are required." The current frenzied pace of organizational change is being driven by the rapid development of commercial technology, global markets and re-engineered, quality-oriented organizations. These organizations can be said to be in a state of constantly seeking stability, while never achieving it. Such organizations are said to be "emergent," and include many of today's commercial and governmental organizations.
