Abstract:The author of the article states that when planes slammed into the World Trade Center on Sept. 11 few companies were as hard hit as Sandler O'Neill. Of the 83 people in the office that morning, only 17 got out alive. Employees lost mentors, assistants lost bosses, and friends lost friends. The article provides a story of what has happened the next day. The paper provides sayings of people who got out alive. The paper states that they didn't just work together at Sandler, they lived their lives together. That was the reason why the living were having such a hard time letting go of the dead thinking "Why I didn't tell everyone else to get out". The paper states that there are Sandler employees who aren't going to make it. Some survivors will have to be let go.
