Abstract: | Analyzed is the management of a local area network. The correctly defined LAN management is necessary due to the fact that a LAN is far more complex than a set of stand-alone personnel computers. A LAN-responsible position is a major point in the way to LAN-success. Discussed is the influence of implementing a LAN on the organizational structure of the company, and proposed is a key to successful implementation. An implementation of a LAN can be considered successful if it is used by its intended users and if it is used for the reasons for which it is designed. |
