| Abstract: | This point/counterpoint focuses on the determinants of job satisfaction (hereafter as: JS). The first article by B. Staw and Y. Cohen-Charash takes the position where it is thought that JS depends on disposition of individuals. The article discusses the criticism of dispositional (hereafter as: disp.) approach and the history of disp. argument, and presents an information-processing model of the possible effects of disp. on JS. The other article by B. Gerhart argues against the disp. approach. |
