| Abstract: | This paper discusses the transformation of "cyberspace" and associated e-business developments from their science fiction debut, through the dotcom bubble, and into profitable organizational fact. Four evolutionary phases that have led to the development of today's electronically-mediated landscape are identified and five "e-business realities" are subsequently isolated. These are then used to determine two key e-business lessons for today's managers. |
