Abstract:This paper discusses four reconstructions of Ronald Duska's argument for the thesis that employees' loyealty to their employers is misguided. The reconstructions revolve around employers' failure to reciprocate employees' loyalty and the commercial and instrumental characters of employment. The conslusion is that the argument does not withstand scrunity an iany of the four reconstructions. This article claims that employee loalty is mostly bound to be significantly limited, because of the radical changeability of corporations with publicly traded stock.
