Abstract:This article investigates the job satisfaction of Greek retail workers in the secondary labour market. This study also examines why full-time and part-time retail employees differ on attitudes by searching the different predictors of job satisfaction. Empirical data was collected from 488 Greek retail employees using a structured questionnaire. The results show significant differences on job satisfaction between part- and full-time workers. Additional regression analysis indicated that employeesÂ’ preferences for working hours and reward-related expectations provide significant evidence on the variation in general job satisfaction.
