| Abstract: | Aggregation is of vital importance for hierarchical production planning. The concepts discussed in literature - approximative aggregation, LP /lineares oder gemischt granzzahliges Programm/ aggregation, and heuristic aggregation, are presented and compared. Then an aggregation strategy for hierarchical production planning is developed. Main advantage of aggregation is the reduction of model capacity, the suboptimality resulting from the view of aggregates must be taken into account. |
