Abstract:In this second of five reports on relational database management, some pieces of advice are presented from the master of relational database management on the art of combining two or more independently conceived relational databases into a single one. However, it is a task that occasionally needs to be done, and every database administrator /DBA/ should know how to do it. The preliminary steps are explained that are required to prepare two or more databases for a merger. Five major steps are needed for the conjugation of two databases to form a third one. Of these, eleven preliminary steps of the major step A are outlined.
