Abstract:A "ghost" is spooking its way through the world of management - the "ghost of visions". More an more theorists, practitioners, managers and marketers believe that the long-term success of a company depends on strategically valid visions. Visions are defined as products of a special use of creativity. Seven rules are offered as an aid to conceiving visions. These include suggestions on team work, concept formation, scenarios, consulting inventive people - or even utopians -, management and marketing cultures, and organization of mental efforts.
