Abstract:Retailers are handling more complex products today either domestically made or imported. This trend is expected to continue. This study seeks to address the issue of how consumers may evaluate such products in light of the fact that consumers will become increasingly more aware of products produced by strategic alliances involving multiple firms and multiple countries. This study demonstrates the value of dimensionalizing the existing country-of-origin (COO) construct.
