| Abstract: | Britain has an old television system and for a long time BBC has been the only TV station. Wit appearance of commercial TV (ITV) in 1955 a competition started for the audience which became characteristic as the number of TV stations grew. It is Britain where the proportion of d domestically produced programmes is the highest in Europe. In 1993 Channel 3 starts to operate with similar services as ITV companies do. |
