Abstract:Continuous, market-driven learning is the best change strategy for an unpredictable environment. This article discusses first the nature of change and the role of learning. Second, it focuses on three key organizational features that the author's research has shown are necessary, in combination, to produce higher-order organizational learning and its associated benefits of new product success, growth and superior profitability. If the opposite of stability is change, then the Genesis or creation of an organization must be completely focused on managing major change.
