Abstract:Holding-structures are modern again. But the use of uniform or standardized holding-models is dangerous. As the company deals wtih organizational decisions with very longterm effects, grown structures and characteristics may not be overlooked. Furthermore, in a holding-model one has to be careful with interlocking directorates between the holding company and the subsidiary companies. In cases of rehabilitation in wich a company should concentrate all its power on regaining viability the quick change to a holding-structure is to be weighed very carefully. The creation of a holding-structure requires much time and patience, both is lacking in times of rehabilitation. Besides, employees and managers have to learn new structures and new procedures. A holding-model has to be custom-made, not mass-produced.
