Abstract:The recognition of career as a vehicle for personal growth and success, has produced research on the factors influencing career success. Knowledge of these factors would help organizations to design more effective career systems, and individuals to develop career management strategies, for career success. This study examines the effect of mentoring and ingratiation on career success among graduate employees in Hong Kong. Career success dimensions examined include both objective (salary and promotions) and subjective (career satisfaction) measures.
