Abstract:A detailed sample of Chamber services (representation, information, export and import services, business training and business counselling) is assessed for coordination costs, and the frequency and duration of transactions, complexity , asset specificity and connectedness, using Britain as an example. Transaction cost economics provides a good explanation mainly as a result of the high asset specificity of Chamber human resources and interconnectedness of transactions.
