| Abstract: | Traditional mentoring - the sponsor with protégé model that concentrates only on high flyers is no longer appropriate for individuals who expect to take responsibility for their own continuous professional development. Being moulded to suit the future needs of an organization that offers no guarantee of a future job seems a somewhat shortsighted option. |
