Abstract:The field of knowledge management is rapidly gaining interest in organisations and in the business literature. The purpose of this article is to examine why knowledge management and organizational learning must be integrated as key processes in organisations. For too long they have been allowed to function as almost separate entities, yet there are clear common elements between them. Moreover, as both processes mature, this raises serious questions about whether organisations can let this continue in the face of rapid changes in the economy, society, and the workplace. It's time to pause and take a bard look at knowledge management and organizational learning.
