Abstract:The United States (U.S.) built the world's most powerful economy by producing and attracting human capital. Is America throwing that advantage away? The growth rate of the creative class in seven countries has been exceptional, according to a study at the Carnegie Mellon. To keep its competitive edge, the U.S. has to invest more in the development of its creative sector, which will lead to further technological innovation and economic growth. There is information on the Global Creative-Class Index ranking by country.
