Abstract:An idea of HRMization is developed in the article in order to reach understanding about the complicated processes that take place when the label of HRM travels through space and time. A large sample of textual analyses and in-depth interviews are used to explore the dynamics of HRMization process in the Turkish context. The results show, how the HRMization has occurred in both rhetorical levels and operational levels in the activities of organizations. The debates of the nature of HRM within the EU seem to affect the local HR rhetoric, which to some extent is separated from actions that are conducted under the name HRM. Because Turkey is a ‘receptive country’, the organizations have adopted different kinds of organizational structures as these structures have varying degrees of access to the currently leading HRM ideas.
