| Abstract: | This paper reviews the literature on acceptability of road pricing schemes, identifying limitations of the research. A survey was conducted in two U.K. cities to provide evidence of the differences btw. users and non-users and of the effects of scheme design and charge level. It is found that charging is more acceptable to non-users. It turned out to be possible to identify design combinations for both U.K. cities. |
