| Abstract: | This article discusses strategic groups in the U.K. pharmaceutical industry identifying the presence of 6 to 8 entities during the period of 1998-2002. It is argued that there is a statistical relationship btw. these strategic groups and performance using three performance measures. The paper also compares strategic groups to competitive groups and suggests that past conflicts in this field of study might derive from contradictory findings in the past. |
