| Abstract: | This review article deals with recent developments in institutional (here as: inst.) theory with particular emphasis on 1. how organizational fields have been conceived and 2. on how action has been conceptualized and incorporated into inst. accounts. It is shown that there is progress as to the understanding of field level processes and the role of inst. actors. However, identified are also weaknesses and challenges. |
