Abstract:Every manager's job has two sides, according to the author. The real test of managerial success is how the manager operates both sides, and how much time he spends on each.Briefly, the two components are: to insure the job is done (delegation). The second side is doing it, ie manager actually performs this part. Managers are required to be aware of priorities vs routine, and they must know whether they are working on the decision or doing the ground work for making the decisions.
