Abstract: | The major handicap in making money out of the boating business is the large number of rivals, many of whom want to indulge their private hobby during the working day. They make things harder for the serious players. B and G (Brookes and Gatehouse) is world leader in its niche market. The company enjoys the reputation of being the "Rolls Royce of yacht instruments". The main asset of the young board with nautical experiences is its ability to pull together on defining new products and how they should be sold. B and G handles the product, among which Focus, a speed unit is extremely successful, from start to finish. It designs, develops, makes, sells and services it. |
