| Abstract: | Pressures from environmentalists, conservationists, and the shortage of landfills has created an increasing awareness and need for solid waste disposal in an economical, efficient, and hygienic way. Analysis of the data provided by 185 individuals showed that the majority were aware of or were not sure of the impact of the deposit law on beverage prices; and did not want the law repealed. Reasons given for non-repeal of the law were mainly related to cleaner environment and resource conservation. |
