Abstract:Robert M. Parker is considered to be the most influential wine critic in the world. As a critic Parker provides information services to his customers. The paper is devoted to the analysis of these information services. First, we describe Parker's activities in the information market along several "business models". Based on a sample of wines from Bordeaux we then investigate if consumers who behaved in accordance with these "business models" really profited from Parker's advice (original in German).
