| Abstract: | Today's managers at all levels have new retrieval capabilities to obtain information relevant to their functions.For decision making, the system may provide the suggested optimal solution directly or may provide man / machine analysis and decision procedures to aid in achieving a good decision.Planning is assisted by planning models plus a man / machine dialog to perform the testing of solutions. The higher levels of management are affected by MIS through improved response to inquiries, continuous monitoring rather than periodic reporting, and improved capabilities for identification of problems or opportunities.Management control is enhanced hy planning models and analytical models. |
