| Abstract: | The Commission has circulated to the national competition authorities of the member states a follow-up to its green paper on vertical restraints. According to reports, the follow-up paper contains a radical proposal for the introduction of a single block exemption, supported by detailed guidelines. Certain "hardcore" restrictions, such as resale price maintenance, would remain outlawed irrespective of market share. Other non-hardcore restrictions would be exempted up to 20% of the relevant market. |
