| Abstract: | The subjects of the article are international relations, war on Terrorism, European Union countries and the foreign economic relations of European Union. The article discusses developments in international relations among European Union (EU) countries in 2001. The author provides implications of European participation in the war on terrorism led by the United States and pays a great attention to the role played by European representatives in the World Trade Organization conference in Doha, Qatar. The paper also considers the progress in the EU membership of some countries. The main tensions have arisen between the bigger countries which have committed troops to support American action in Afghanistan. |
