Abstract:The subjects of the article are justice, administration of internal security in European Union Countries, European organized crime and crime prevention. The author of the article discusses the impact of the justice and home affairs program (JHA) of the European Union on member countries. The article pays an attention to the measures to protect legitimate companies against organized crime, considers the efforts to improve cross border issues on legality. The author states that until recently, most executives took the review that the JHA program had a marginal, if not zero impact on their business. But after 11 September when EU adopted a host of security measures, particularly with regard to airline security, airline executives at least may have change their minds.
