Abstract: | China's bonded areas are generally divided into two categories. One stresses port function while the other stresses trade function. Preferential policies towards bonded areas include the following: 1. practicing the bonded policy, 2. allowing foreign business people to establish wholly-funded trade companies in bonded areas and approved foreign financial institutions to set up their branches there, 3. allowing the enterprises in bonded areas to establish foreign exchange account, 4 simplifying the entry or exit formalities. The operation of bonded areas is characterized by export-oriented economic features, the positioning of economic formation and function, which depends on China's social system and macro economic situation and practicing the limited open policy. |
