Abstract:The purpose of this article is to outline volunteer motivations and psychological contract, which need more complex marketing approaches. The authors use Maguire's three-tier model to construct their own theoretical framework of the Research Volunteer psychological contract. The article shows the transactional, career and relational relationships in this context using qualitative case data. The authors claim that integrating the two models of relationship marketing and psychological contract enables more effective tourism management.
