| Abstract: | Salerno (2010) asserts that in the debate btw. those who favour and oppose fractional reserve banking, the key issue is not whether or not this institution is inherently fraudulent, but, rather, does it or does it not cause the business cycle. The authors join Salerno in thinking both important, however, reversing this order. |
