Abstract:Comparative analysis shows that in the set-out in economic modernization and industrialization, China is 70 years later than Japan and 40 years later than South Korea respectively. In the readjustment of industrial structure and shift of labor force, China is 80 years later than Japan and 20 years later than South Korea. In the main factors for economic growth, 70 percent of that of China relies on capital and labor input while 50 percent of Japan and South Korea depends on scientific and technological progress. In research and development, China's main forces are concentrated in scientific and technological institutions and universities while in Japan and South Korea the main research forces are in production enterprises. In the aspect of industry China is 40 years more backward from Japan and 10 years backward from South Korea respectively.
