Abstract:Today, East Asia has become the most important motive force of promoting the world economic development. Among it, Northeast Asia area surpasses south east Asia in all such aspects as economic strength, foreign trade volume, land area and population. Since reform and opening to the outside world, China's strength has been enhanced and its status in the world economy elevated. In the recent 16 years, China's GDP growth rate averaged 9.8 percent with an annual growth rate of 13.1% or so from 1992 to 1994. Some important products which are of vital importance to the nation's economy and the people's livelihood leap to first place in the world. By the end of this century, China will realize the goal of quadrupling the 1980 per capita growth national product.
