Abstract:Fear of change in the workplace is the natural result of having vested interests in a particular status quo, whether regarding product technology, work organization or even company culture. In conditions of rapid change, enterprises are increasingly faced with skill-shortages. Dealt with is the relationship between strategic choice, organizational change and training policies in high-technology firms. Concentrated is on the varieties of approaches to training in three selected British firms dealing with micro-electronic product applications.
