| Abstract: | A methodology for representation of integrated linear mathematical and data models is presented. It is based on the entity-relationship model of data and is called entity-relationship with linear mathematical programming /ERLMP/. Advantages of this approach include convenient communication between data and math modelers, ease of documentation of the integrated math and data model, and use of a popular modeling technique /i.e. ERM/ to represent both. It is supposed that, due to the popularity of the basic ERM, the ERLMP has potential for acceptability. The presentation is limited to a diagraming convention for linear mathematical models. |
