| Abstract: | The paper applies a Schumpeterian analytical framework to compare and analyze differences and similarities in the development of the ICT and biotech industries in Finland. It remains pessimistic concerning the commercial opportunities of the Finnish biotech industries, at least in the shorter term, mainly due to an underdeveloped venture capital market and the lack of industrialists in the field, and discuss the related challenges that the industry faces. |
