| Abstract: | This study explores from a practitioner perspective the crisis in leadership (hereafter as: l-ship) with a focus on the period since the banking crisis. Included is a review of a survey of 16 global companies with their attitudes and perspectives on leadership development (here as: l-d). Explored are the applications of a framework developed at MIT looking at l-ship in an age of uncertainty, with in-depth case studies on l-d. at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Sony Europe. Key assumptions include the fact that l-ship is distributed all over an organization, evolving as an organisation's environment shifts. Some views on future l-d. conclude the article. |
