| Abstract: | In 1968, UPS established the Community Internship Program. The program originated as a series of classroom lectures for middle to senior level managers and has grown into a hands-on learning experience. Selected managers spend an entire month on location at one of four sites, learning about the plight of the area's disadvantaged citizens, and in so doing, gain better management skills such as problem solving and human interaction. |
