Abstract:Most women and men have essentially different ways of communicating and behaving. Knowing these differences can only bring working relationships into better focus. Kinney Shoe Corporation initiated a gender sensitivity program to heighten its management teams' awareness about men's and women's interactional patterns and communications styles. The result has been more networking, more cross-divisional sharing of talent and improved communication corporatewide.
