Abstract: | A union thrived at Coors Brewing until 1978 when a failed strike ultimately resulted in the union's demise. Without a formal voice employees feared they would not have a say in the resolution of job disputes. Management implemented a peer review system which has given workers (both executive and hourly) the opportunity to participate in the grievance process. The system has significantly reduced the number of disgruntled employees and disputes resulting in litigation. |
