| Abstract: | Employees empowered by their companies are becoming more aware of how their individual jobs impact their immediate area and their companies as well as the community at large and the environment. As a result, employees with the help of the HR department lead the way to inhouse environmental programs. For example, employees at T. Rowe Price brought a recycling program to the attention of management. At Marriott Residence Inn, employees indicated their interest in recycling in the company's annual employee satisfaction survey. And at Nordsto, worker suggestions initiated the inhouse recycling program. |
