Abstract:The paper studies the barriers in the consumer's process of adopting new technological innovations, focusing on "lack of content" and "presence of content" situations. Data for the study were collected from 229 student respondents. In the "lack of content" situation the value, risk and image barriers related to adoption intentions, whereas in the "presence of content" situation the value, risk and image barriers had a negative impact on adoption intentions.
