Abstract:As the world slowly comes to grips with the devastating environmental problems that have been building over the past years, companies are increasingly accountable to the environmental expectations of their stakeholders. Satisfying stakeholders' needs is particularly important in environmental management as companies begin to understand that the best approach to managing the growing complexity of environmental issues is a companywide approach. The focus will shift from that of managing a separate environmental function to that of improving the business process through environmental change.
