Abstract:Increasing international and domestic pressure and economic globalization have driven many economically developing countries to rapidly launch complex programs for environmental protection. Transnational corporations, a combined force that has traditionally been perceived as major contributors to the environmental problem in developing countries, are now viewed as conduits for transfer of capital and environmentally sound technologies to developing countries while simultaneously furthering commercial development.
