Abstract:Lithuania has picked up its floundering economy and is beginning to show promising signs of growth. Lithuanian economy has been on shaky ground since it declared independence in 1991, but over the past year the country has regained some stability and reversed its dramatic decline. By the end of 1994, the country had arrested its plummeting GDP. Prices are also beginning to stabilize. The annual inflation rate of 45.1% for 1994 was over four times lower than the 1993 figure.
